William Christopher Anderson practices in a broad range of probate, estate planning and federal, state
and local tax matters with a particular emphasis on the tax collection procedure, audits and controversy. Mr. Anderson has
extensive experience in coordinating and conducting reviews for all matters of tax policy, procedure and compliance for individuals,
sole proprietorships, small corporations, partnerships, fiduciaries, governmental units, and retirement plans.
Mr. Anderson has received an extensive formal education in both accounting and law. Before
attending law school, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Accounting, graduating magna cum laude.
Mr. Anderson earned a Juris Doctorate Degree from Stetson University College of Law. He is currently admitted to practice
law before the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of International Trade, and the United States District Court
for the Middle District of Tampa and all State Courts of Florida.
Prior to entering private
practice, Mr. Anderson represented the Florida Department of Revenue as a contract Staff Attorney conducting trial litigation
in circuit court for Title IV-D cases. Mr. Anderson was responsible for providing legal services for the Child Support Enforcement
Program, including the establishment of initial orders of paternity and/or support, modification of support orders and enforcement
of existing orders of support in both intrastate and interstate cases. He was also engaged in establishing and collecting
arrearages and unpaid retroactive public assistance obligations, as well as legal costs associated with the cases. Mr. Anderson
conducted reviews to detect unreported income and locate hidden assets of individual and business taxpayers.
Mr. Anderson obtained extensive business and financial accounting experience as in-house counsel for a major
public utility company, Mr. Anderson was responsible for the monitoring and investigation of insider trading and securities
transactions. His responsibilities also included corporate governance and accountability issues under Sarbanes-Oxley regulatory
and stock market requirements. Mr. Anderson investigated and wrote reports involving: Board Roles and Responsibilities, Ethics
and Corporate Compliance, Risk Management and Controls, and Transparency and Disclosure matters.
